The protagonist of "Khem Sorn Plai" is Cherd, a stunning woman who is constrained to live abroad in Dr. Ruengboon's marriage. She discovers herself falling in love with Lanna, a Thai student studying abroad, while stuck in a loveless marriage. Cherd is compelled to remain married to Dr. Ruengboon since he won't grant him a divorce, nevertheless.

Eventually, Lanna makes his way back to Thailand where he starts a new life by weding Yaowayod, a young lady who is ideal in terms of both appearance and social standing and who was most importantly picked out for him by his mother.
